The questions that you ask!
Why do you fear your self?
You are the glorious product
Of a miraculous journey.
A journey that started a million years ago
And will end a million years hence -
And yet is all now - in the moment.
You have learned music and understood science,
You have mastered numbers and remained a poet.
You sing and dance and act,
And teach young minds the beauty of the earth.
You are tall and graceful,
Elegant, if you wish -
Or impish
To inspire a smile
And dispel chagrin.
You know joy and sadness,
Fear and humor,
Hope and despair -
And always the joy and humor and hope
Lead the way.
You are here with purpose,
For your strength and intellect,
Your humor and talent,
Can be drawn upon by others
As they mirror themselves in you -
Just as you have found your soul
Mirrored in the human-ness,
Male-femaleness,
Of others.
You have found a peace that you can call on -
A peace that comes with knowing.
Do not fear to be exactly who and what you are.
For today,
That is all that is needed.
