Inner mystic realities
Subtly nudge my thoughts.
They tantalize me with dream images
That linger on the edge
Of understanding.
They beckon me with visions
That dance around the boundaries of knowledge.
They taunt me with feelings
That weave their way across the chasm of truth.
I see myself in many guises.
The innocent child, held and hurting,
Lost in the shadow of her mother's pain.
The barren mother with no child to nurse
Lying down to die, yet fighting to live.
The helping, healing adult
Who tries to offer care as best she can,
Who bears the guilt of failure
And carries blame
For missing half the signs.
The judgmental authority
For whom the best is not enough.
Who will ever question,
Seeking to find out why.
And the gentle angel
Who is there
To guide and support my Self,
As needed.
I know them all.
They dance in my crystal,
They play in my drum,
They float on the wings of my dreams. |
