A Poetry Chapbook

Slowly,
My breathing narrows,
Half mind, half breath.
I sense the space inside me,
All the space —
Feet, legs, body, arms, mind.
I quiet the chatter
Letting each thought slide,
Only touching my mind,
And then gone.

I sense the space outside me,
And it is the same space.
It is the space outside the mountains
And inside the mountains,
It is the space outside the tree
And inside the tree,
It is the space outside you
And inside you.

I am part of infinite space.
I am hollow, translucent.
I am a shell of space
Sitting in space.

I let the energy of the universe
Flow through my mind.
I am part of the universal creation —
Which is part of me, which is me.
