THE ROBE ©

So you finally realized
That I've been waiting.
All you had to do was ask.

I knew it was you
Who touched my robe.
I have noticed your pain
And sensed you hovering
At the back of the crowd -
Afraid you would be ignored
Or turned away
Or ridiculed
Or beaten.

And finally you'd had enough -
Enough pain,
Enough bleeding,
Enough sorrow.
And finally you allowed yourself
To trust your sense,
Your awareness of my power -
My energy.

So you reached out,
And took what you needed.
I could never have given it to you,
Unbidden.

So now, my precious one,
I will hold you in my love,
Whenever you ask.
My friends will wait
As I turn aside.
They will willingly wait
As long as is needed
For me to hold you
And heal you.

Reach out to me at any time in your heart -
And eternity will make a space
For us to be as one.
