SENSES ©
The Lord created a meadow.
He said, "Susan, look at the land.
Describe the wonders that you see.
For it is with your eyes
That I can see My works anew."
The Lord created a river.
He said, "Susan, sit by the bank,
And tell Me all you hear.
It is through your ears
I will know the symphony of the earth."
The Lord created a garden.
He said, "Susan, dine on these plants.
Tell Me all you sense and taste.
It is through your senses
I will know the fragrance of all life."
The Lord created a tree.
He said, "Susan, feel this bark.
What is it that you feel?
It is through your fingers
I will know the texture of all things."
And so whatever it is I see,
I will see for God.
Whatever sound of nature or man I hear,
I will hear for God.
The feelings I have been given within
I will feel for God.
When I sing and laugh
If I play or dance -
It will be for God,
For He delights in my being,
And through me
Knows His world.
